{"id":4882,"date":"2018-09-05T20:52:37","date_gmt":"2018-09-05T20:52:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.lodgix.com\/blog\/?p=4882"},"modified":"2018-09-05T20:52:37","modified_gmt":"2018-09-05T20:52:37","slug":"homeaway-import-now-supports-reservations-and-reviews","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.lodgix.com\/blog\/homeaway-import-now-supports-reservations-and-reviews\/","title":{"rendered":"HomeAway Import Now Supports Reservations and Reviews"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4883\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lodgix.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/vrbo-coupons.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"360\" height=\"120\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.lodgix.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/vrbo-coupons.png 360w, https:\/\/www.lodgix.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/vrbo-coupons-300x100.png 300w, https:\/\/www.lodgix.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/vrbo-coupons-200x67.png 200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 360px) 100vw, 360px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Setting up new properties in Lodgix has never been easier &#8211; at least for HomeAway customers.\u00a0 Last year we coded the ability for a property manager to import inventory setup on HomeAway\u00a0 \/ VRBO into Lodgix.<\/p>\n<p>This feature can save a bunch of time, as the alternative would be to manually copy and paste all marketing and amenity data into Lodgix &#8211; FOR EVERY PROPERTY.\u00a0 Yuck.\u00a0 \u00a0No one cares to do that.\u00a0 Initially, the HomeAway import was limited to property data only.\u00a0 \u00a0Not any more.<\/p>\n<p>Today Lodgix can also import all existing HomeAway reservations and reviews into Lodgix.\u00a0 \u00a0Most property managers wish to integrate to HomeAway.\u00a0 \u00a0Integrating to HomeAway wipes out all property and reservation data on HomeAway and overwrites that data with data from Lodgix.\u00a0 Thus before the integration can begin, all property data must be present on Lodgix so it can be sync&#8217;d back to HomeAway to update and \/ or\u00a0 create listings.<\/p>\n<p>Reservation data needs to either be imported into Lodgix via ical and then turned into a reservation (old way) or better yet, imported into Lodgix from HomeAway (new way).\u00a0 \u00a0Once all HomeAway reservations are present in Lodgix,\u00a0 \u00a0the integration to HomeAway can be done and then all listings on HomeAway will be sync&#8217;d with Lodgix and all future reservations taken on HomeAway will be pushed into Lodgix.\u00a0 \u00a0Reservations taken on Lodgix (or other channels) will sync with HomeAway and block those dates on the HomeAway calendar.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Lodgix can now import your existing HomeAway \/ VRBO reviews, which will make populating your existing wordpress site, super easy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; Setting up new properties in Lodgix has never been easier &#8211; at least for HomeAway customers.\u00a0 Last year we coded the ability for a property manager to import inventory setup on HomeAway\u00a0 \/ VRBO into Lodgix.
