{"id":4996,"date":"2019-10-07T13:17:10","date_gmt":"2019-10-07T13:17:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.lodgix.com\/blog\/?p=4996"},"modified":"2020-04-29T19:19:40","modified_gmt":"2020-04-29T19:19:40","slug":"visual-rates-rules-tape-is-coming-housekeeping-view-and-app-have-launched","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.lodgix.com\/blog\/visual-rates-rules-tape-is-coming-housekeeping-view-and-app-have-launched\/","title":{"rendered":"Visual Rates Tape &#038; Housekeeping App are Coming!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As promised,\u00a0 coming off of a very long, very large infrastructure update cycle, we&#8217;ve moved on to some more visible improvements to Lodgix.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Housekeeping Enhancements have Launched!<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>This is a great improvement to Lodgix.\u00a0 \u00a0We are still working on additional tweaks and fixing user reported bugs, however the overlay and app themselves are working great.<\/p>\n<p>Please take some time to learn more about the new functionality:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/support.lodgix.com\/en\/articles\/3323797-housekeeping-overlay-app-version-1-0\">http:\/\/support.lodgix.com\/en\/articles\/3323797-housekeeping-overlay-app-version-1-0<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/support.lodgix.com\/en\/articles\/3317440-housekeeping-report\">http:\/\/support.lodgix.com\/en\/articles\/3317440-housekeeping-report<\/a><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Visual Rates \/ Rules Tape is Coming!<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Dynamic pricing is coming to Lodgix.\u00a0 The technology as a whole has been present on Airbnb for some time and there are many third party companies out there now that offer alogorithms that will dynamically adjust rates and rules.\u00a0 \u00a0Some PMs like the functionality, others don&#8217;t.\u00a0 \u00a0At present, Lodgix does not have an easy way to quickly update rates and rules for a property.\u00a0 \u00a0For those using our seasonality templates, it&#8217;s not horribly difficult, however it would probably still require a series of steps.<\/p>\n<p>For example, let&#8217;s stay you wanted to change the rates to $150 per night for October 12 and 13 due to slow bookings for that period.\u00a0 There is an existing rate period setup for Oct 1 thru 30 for $200.0 per night.\u00a0 Here is how you would change the rates currently:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>open the seasonality template.<\/li>\n<li>edit the Oct 1 thru 30 rate period,\u00a0 shorten it to Oct 1 to 11.<\/li>\n<li>create a new rate period for Oct 12-13.<\/li>\n<li>create another rate period for October 14 thru 30.<\/li>\n<li>Apply to all properties assigned to the template.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If not using our seasonality templates, the steps above would have to be done for each property.\u00a0 Not fun and time consuming.<\/p>\n<p>How will the new visual rates tape work?<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Open the tape<\/li>\n<li>select properties, select dates<\/li>\n<li>click change for Oct 12, enter $150, confirm<\/li>\n<li>click changes for Oct 12, enter $150, confirm<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>That&#8217;s it!\u00a0 all properties are updated, all channels are distributed with the updated rates.<\/p>\n<p>Here is a quick video showing the new interface.\u00a0 \u00a0If all testing goes well,\u00a0 we hope to soft launch this itnerface in 5 to 10 business days.<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/364780182\" width=\"640\" height=\"456\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As promised,\u00a0 coming off of a very long, very large infrastructure update cycle, we&#8217;ve moved on to some more visible improvements to Lodgix.
