Driving up to the treehouse through the wooded forest road will feel as if you are entering into natures peaceful, tranquil presence. The Brazilian hardwood covered staircase of the Gathering Tree treehouse leads up to a large partially covered deck with outdoor seating and a table. Through the front door, you will see a huge living space with a hickory bark Amish made loveseat and a sectional couch that will create the perfect space for your family to gather for fun and laughter. The trees stump base walnut accent coffee table and tree base floor lamp remind you that you are high in the trees. If that doesn’t make you feel as though you are deep in nature, then the enormous tree post spiral staircase with tree limb handrail leading to the loft will definitely convince you.
In the loft, you will find two full beds and a quaint hickory bark Amish made bench seating area and rhododendron balusters that give you a birds-eye view into the lower living area as well as outside through the many large windows. The kitchen is designed with hickory cabinetry and plenty of granite countertop space. The large stainless steel apron sink is accented with bronze jar Edison bulb lighting. The dining area is a great place to sit down and have a family meal at the oak Amish made table. The poplar and barn wood wall coverings throughout the treehouse bring the old in with the new.

Ella’s Enchanted Treehouses far exceeded our expectations! We stayed at the Gathering Tree with our 4 kids and we were al blown away. The drive to get there was beautiful and the treehouses are nestled perfectly in the woods. The interior was beautifully decorated and we really loved the feeling of being in the trees! Everything seemed very “high end” and it was so nice to have a full kitchen where we could have meals. It was awesome to “unplug” for a weekend and spend some quality family time. There is so much to do in the area and they were at a perfect location to get to all kinds of outdoor activities and amenities. We can’t say enough good things about our stay and the kids are already asking when we can go back! I HIGHLY recommend. Well worth every penny!

The Gathering Tree gets a TOP NOTCH rating from my family. Stacie was a great host, and the tree house is absolutely amazing. We found it to be incredibly clean and as described in the listing. While the spiral staircase makes a tremendous center piece, the tree house truly offers so much more charm. It is clear that careful attention was given to even the smallest of details. A return trip to the Gathering Tree has immediately made its way onto our family’s to-do list! Chris B (Lancaster, PA) Airbnb
We had a lovely time at the Gathering Tree! We were lucky to be some of the first guests at the treehouse. Everything was super clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed the fire pit, It was a nice place to hang out and relax with friends. The property is quiet and the forest is lush. Don't be surprised if you are asked to sign a waiver (it caught us a little off guard but there wasn't anything surprising in there that airbnb wouldn't already require). Please do yourself a favor and check out the Meadow Mountain Hike to the Southern terminus, (the trailhead is a quick half mile walk or drive from the house) the hike is very easy and the lookout over the valley is beautiful!

This place was Amazing! We came for two nights, a group of girls for a bachelorette party and we had so much fun! This place is so clean and neatly decorated. Every little detail done with these treehouses are beautiful. Deep Creek Lake is a short drive which is also beautiful. Moonshadow the restaurant was very good, and the wine and cheese pairing over at Firefly Farms was also amazing! We also visited shadow falls for a short hike and beautiful scenery as well as we made it over to lavender farms. We were all over the place! Lol They also have tons of things to do with the kids in the towns nearby as well as you can stay in one night play games and have a little campfire. These treehouses are nestled in the woods and are very private ! I love pulling into the driveway and seeing how cute and quaint these tree houses are that sit back in the woods. Not much cell service out that way which could be a great thing or a not so great thing, but if I’m on vacation it could be a great thing! The owners Casey and Stacie and their daughter Ella are sooo sweet, as i met them taking trash out upon checking out. I will definitely be back soon!!

Oh my goodness!! This is one of my favorite places to go. So cozy, comfortable and peaceful. Very tastefully decorated. Loved every minute of it. Tucked away in some beautiful woods but not too far from a lot of things to do if you can tear yourself away from the serenity of the tree house. Great walking trails, one which leads to a breathtaking view. You won’t be sorry. I can’t wait to go back !

We stayed here for a long weekend to celebrate my father's 60th birthday. We had a wonderful time. The decor of the treehouse is just stunning. It's such a cozy place where we made so many new memories. And everyone that goes must read The Forever Tree book. Beautiful.

Our family drove up the short gravel road and then we heard our first “wow”. It continued when we went up the steps into an incredibly well designed, built and decorated treehouse. It was an experience! From the slight sway during high winds to the amazing amount of wood (with such amazingly beautiful craftsmanship), we knew we were in the trees. But what comfort! This was relaxing, fun and so unique for our family. Even though it was cold in January, we enjoyed walks to the Savage River State Park, (quick) s’mores at the fire pit, and lots of fun and laughter inside. Proximity to Deep Creek was great for excursions but the best part was being in such a unique place together.

Perfect getaway and opportunity to disconnect and instead reconnect! The accommodations were modern, stylish, well thought out and most importantly, very clean. We enjoyed watching movies, making s'mores, the natural surroundings, and the magic of the cabin. Looking forward to our next visit. (Facebook Review)
